The Rutland County Humane Society (RCHS) is dedicated to advocating for and working towards a responsible and humane community. We provide shelter and adoption opportunities for pets who are homeless and promote animal welfare through community programs that benefit both animals and people. RCHS is an open admission shelter that cares for 1,100 animals per year and takes in stray animals and owner surrendered animals from Rutland County.
